Both the Tuft and Needle mattress and the Puffy mattress are foam mattresses with two layers. They are similarly thick and have pretty much the same base layer.
On the surface, they look the same, but they are quite different. The Tuft and Needle has a soft yet responsive Adaptive Foam in its comfort layer, while the Puffy incorporates a gel memory foam.
Because of this, the Tuft & Needle has a balanced foam feel. You should sleep on top of this mattress, so it should be easier to move around. The Puffy, on the other hand, has a classic memory foam feel. You should slowly sink into this bed-in-a-box mattress. It will feel more like you are sleeping “in” the mattress.
Those who are seeking a back sleeping mattress or stomach sleeping mattress should look at the Tuft and Needle online mattress. It is the more supportive mattress, so you shouldn’t feel yourself sinking in too far.
Do you sleep hot? You might want to choose the Tuft and Needle. The Adaptive Foam is more breathable than gel memory foam. The Tuft and Needle should be the cooler sleeping mattress.
Are you a larger person? The Tuft and Needle should be the way to go. Again, it is the more supportive mattress, so you have less chance of bottoming out. Heavier sleepers could press through the soft upper layer of the Puffy and hit the support layer beneath. As a result, the Tuft and Needle should be the better mattress for heavy people.
If you are light- or medium-weight and need a side sleeping mattress, the Puffy should work for you. You should sink into that gel memory foam and feel great pressure relief.
If you are looking for a classic memory foam mattress, the Puffy should be the good pick. It has that soft, quicksand feel.
It should be easy to choose between the Tuft and Needle and Puffy if you consider this information!
