Does Apple Cider Vinegar Shrink Varicose Veins and Spider Veins?

What causes varicose veins?

The veins carry blood back to the heart from other parts of the body. They use a series of one-way valves to prevent backflow of blood. If these valves become damaged or weak they cause a backflow leading to a backup of blood. This backup of blood causes swollen veins which may lead to varicose veins or spider veins.

Some factors that might contribute to varicose veins:

Sun overexposure, injuries, hormonal changes, age, work environment where there is standing for long period of time, obesity, heredity, constipation and birth control pills.

The Research
