Good sleep depends on a comfortable mattress. We all know it. We’ve all slept on a less than stellar mattress that woke us up throughout the night and left us feeling uncomfortable and exhausted in the morning. Fortunately, we now live in the era of the luxury mattress. There are so many remarkable mattresses available for anyone seeking an ideal night’s rest. Eco Terra is an organic hybrid mattress that wants to fill the luxury mattress sized whole in your heart. Will it deliver the goods and provide the sleep that you’ve desperately sought for your entire adult life? There’s only one way to find out, so read on…
The Eco Terra mattress uses premium supportive fabric-encased coils that provide little motion transfer and an incredibly buoyant sleep. While latex foam is known for its bounce and responsiveness, the bounce is offset when paired with Eco Terra’s fabric encased coils. This combination leads to minimizing motion transfer. If you are a sleeper who prefers an “in the mattress” feel, memory foam may be a better choice. But if you prefer a slight hug from your bed with limited motion transfer, then this just might be the bed you are looking for.
Almost all new mattresses give off a faint smell when opened, but those smells are nothing to be concerned about. This off-gassing is common in almost all new products (new car smell, etc.). Most natural latex mattresses don’t emit a pungent off-gas like synthetic mattresses. In fact, Eco Terra has a scent instead of smell. It produces a faint vanilla scent that’s actually quite pleasant. Like any other form of off-gassing, the scent will be gone within a few days.
Since latex foam does not retain heat like memory foam, the mattress will maintain a neutral temperature whether it is hot or cold. In general, latex breathes well. This can be largely attributed to latex’s open cell structure that circulates air easily. Ontop of that, the organic cotton cover also helps to regulate the flow of air in and out of the mattress and the encased coils push out excess body heat. Eco Terra went out of their way to design a mattress that will not trap heat. You’ll never feel overheated in an Eco Terra bed, but you also won’t feel like you are too cold either. It does a great job of regulating a comfortable sleeping temperature.
