Review and tell you guys about them but If you ordered online it's going to be Backed by the following policies Starting with free shipping it's a bed In a box mattress that'll ship right to Your house that you basically just drag That big box into your house rip off all The packaging and the thing will start To expand in front of your eyes now Since this bed does use pocketed coils And latex foam it'll pretty much Spring Right to its original firmness that It'll be at but you know you might want To wait a couple hours or two to let it Fully inflate just since it will be Wrapped in that tight packaging for so Long now once Birch is in your Possession you get a 100 night sleep Trial that's basically your chance to Test the bed out in the comfort of your Own home put your own sheets on it and Ultimately decide if you want to keep This thing for the foreseeable future or Not now if not you can send this bed Back with completely free returns but Hopefully you do enjoy the bed and want To keep it if so it's backed by a 25-year warranty and I also want to say That birch as a mattress is made in the United States so if you like supporting American-made products that might be Something to note as well but if you Need any more information about these Policies check down below in the
Description box we'll have some helpful Links you can read more about those Policies or that warranty but now let's Talk about construction what does the Birch mattress made up of well this Being a natural and organic bed this Means it'll have a lot of sustainable Materials starting at the bottom there's A thin layer of wool batting then you Have pocketed coils which act as the Main support layer for the mattress now If you didn't know pocketed coils are Just individually siled coils that Basically provide a lot of support Durability and a little bit of airflow As well for mattresses above those coils The bed has a layer of talalay latex Foam now latex foam in general is a Really responsive and pretty much kind Of spongy material and it's actually Made from the sap of a rubber tree so It's naturally occurring and this just Adds the whole natural aesthetic of the Bed now above that there are a couple of Layers of wool which will add to the Comfort layers for the Birch mattress And on top the whole thing is wrapped up In a nice organic cotton cover that is Nice it's organic and it sometimes even Smells good obviously if you've had this Bed for a while it might not smell good Anymore because uh you smell and of Course I'm not talking about you I'm Talking about I'm JD
Now this whole construction will add up To give the bed a latex foam feel and Latex in general is a really responsive Material it's kind of like the opposite Of a memory foam with a memory foam You're going to sink in slowly to the Mattress but with a latex foam bed You're kind of going to sleep on top of It it'll almost be like sleeping on a Giant sponge for lack of a better term But it's really nice and it does provide Some sort of pressure relief while not Making you fall completely into the Mattress with something like a memory Foam the latex foam combined with those Coils will also make it spring back into Shape rather quickly so if you like to Change between different sleeping Positions at night the bed will adapt to You almost instantly so that's something To know if you are a combination sleeper And we typically say that latex foam is Just something that's really Accommodating that most people will Probably really enjoy before working at The slumber yard I never had tried a Latex bed before but now it's definitely Going to be one of my top three favorite Feels for sure now latex foam in general Is a firmer material so that'll place This bed right at a medium firm on our Firmness scale meaning it should work For all sleeper types back stomach side And combination it might be slightly
Better for a strict back and stomach Sleeper since it is on the firmer end of The spectrum but you can definitely get By on this bed no matter what sleeping Position you're sleeping in now Birch Also offers the Birch Luxe which is also Around the same firmness level but they Do have a birch topper which will soften The bed up quite a bit and it'll bring It closer to a medium so you can always Spend up and get that topper if you do Want a softer Birch mattress now if you Happen to be sharing this bed with a Partner I'm going to talk about a couple Things that couples might want to Consider those being Edge support motion Isolate and temperature regulation Edge Support has to do with how well the Perimeter edges of the mattress will Hold up under pressure so if you like to Sleep pretty close to them will you be Okay or will you roll off and with Birch You definitely won't roll off those Pocketed coils combined with the latex Foam will keep you sturdy on that bed so We think it performs great in terms of Edge support now motion isolation has to Do with how well the bed absorbs cross Mattress movement and for the Birch Mattress we think it does a fine job Here you know latex foam in general Isn't as good at deadening motion as Something like a memory foam but you Know it's going to be fine and I doubt
You're going to be waking up if your Partner is going to get up and get a Glass of water in the middle of the Night or something like that now the Last thing being temperature regulation How hot or cold is the Birch mattress Going to sleep we pretty much think that It'll sleep temperature neutral you know Pocketed coils has some room for Increased airflow and latex foam does Have some holes which will also add to Some airflow but a lot of things affect Temperature regulation more than the bed Itself like what kind of sheets you're Using what kind of pajamas you're using How hot or cold you keep your room so we Think Birch will be temperature neutral But if you want a cooler sleeping Bedroom setup you know maybe Crank that Thermostat down to you know 20 degrees Oh that's cool Jeez now the last thing I want to touch On is price how much money you're going To be paying for a birch mattress and I Do want to preface this section by Saying that mattress Brands like Birch Or Helix do like to change their pricing And promotions from time to time so this Is as of when I'm recording this video But hopefully you can get a queen size Birch mattress for MSRP around the 1800 Range but Birch does offer some pretty Good discounts after which you should be Paying around the 1400 range and
