The Amerisleep AS2 (formerly known as the Revere) is a bed in a box mattress consisting of three foam layers totalling 12 inches in height.
Cover – The cover is a soft blend of polyester, Celliant, and spandex. There are some studies that have found Celliant to have recovery benefits. I cannot personally vouch for the science, but I encourage you to look into it.
Comfort Layer – The comfort layer of the AS2 is made of 2 inches of memory foam. This layer is soft and provides contouring, as you sink in just a bit to the top layer.
Transition Layer – This layer consists of 3 inches of poly foam. This layer is zoned to support the heavier parts of the body and acts as the transition between the soft memory foam and the high density polyfoam beneath.
Base – The base of the mattress is made of 7 inches of high density poly foam. It supports the top layers of the mattress as well as the sleeper. It also acts as the foundation of the AS2 and gives the mattress its shape.
